The IETL is an association which aims to serve research, politics, business and consumer protection in all areas of national and international traffic law. The institute organises congresses, seminars, training course and colloquia in all areas of traffic law, especially the European Traffic Law Days.

The Swiss National Bureau of Insurance (NBI) and the Swiss National Guarantee Fund (NGF) are founding members of the IETL. NBI & NGF are supportive of the activities of the IETL.


12th European Traffic Law Days in Luxemburg, 12 - 13 october 2011

The 12th European Traffic Law Days will take place in Luxemburg from 12 - 13 october 2011 and the key topic area will be "Children in Road Traffic, liability, damages, road safety, accident prevention and other aspects".

IETL-Seminar in Belgrade, 05-06 May 2011

The Institute for European Traffic Law (IETL) will organise a seminar on International Road Traffic Accidents in Belgrade (Serbia) this May. Several high-ranking speakers representing the academic world, lawyers and the insurance sector will deliver presentations including the settlement of claims in Serbia, of personal injury claims in France and non-pecuniary damages in Italy. During a panel discussion participants will have the chance to exchange their practical experiences with regards to the duration of settlement and litigation in Southeast European countries.
